Equipping the Christian Community

Upon request, we provide a 6-week faith-based training on domestic violence. The training is designed for those who desire to become "Pop-up-Advocates", they will receive in-depth training on domestic violence and join us as workshop facilitators. 

We provide free and confidential weekly virtual support for the "Family and Friends of individuals they suspect may be experiencing domestic violence.

The Truth About Domestic Violence

  • Facts - 70% of all Mass Shootings are Linked to Domestic Violence

  • DV is the leading cause of injury to women - Every 9 seconds in the USA a woman is assaulted or beaten.

  • Every year 1 in 3 women who are a victim of homicide is murdered by her current or former partner. 

Statistics from the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (May 2022)

  • On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. In a one-year period of time this equates to more than 10 million women and men. 

  • On a typical day, there are more than 20,000 phone calls placed to domestic violence hotlines nationwide. 

  • Women between the ages of 18-24 are most commonly abused by an intimate partner.

  • 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year, and 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence.
