Families thrive when they feel supported, informed, and connected.

At Christ Centered Empowerment for Families (CCEFF), our mission is to empower families through education and advocacy. We work to ensure individuals and families know where to go and how to access practical and spiritual needs.

Education
We provide families with educational opportunities that help them understand their options and make informed decisions. By offering practical information and guidance, we empower families to address challenges and build resilience.

Support
Our commitment to support means that families are never alone in their journey. We foster a community where individuals can find encouragement, share experiences, and access resources tailored to their needs.

Faith-Based and Non-Faith-Based Resources
We offer a variety of resources, both faith-based and non-faith-based, to meet the diverse needs of the families we serve. These tools are designed to help create safer environments and strengthen relationships within homes and communities.

Meet-up Gathering “Full Circle”

The “Full Circle” Meet-up Gathering takes place in-person every quarter and is hosted by community-based Pop-up Advocates. These advocates welcome community members to an evening dedicated to storytelling, music, dining, and fellowship.

The primary purpose of the gathering is to bring people together to share inspiring stories of overcoming adversity. By highlighting personal journeys, these events encourage healing and nurture a gentle desire for positive change. Attendees connect with one another, offer mutual support, and are reminded that they are not alone in their struggles.

Through these gatherings, resilience is fostered and the bonds within the community are strengthened. Participants leave feeling uplifted and hopeful, empowered by the shared experiences and the supportive environment.

Support

Friends & Family Support Group

Our free weekly virtual “Friends & Family” support group is held every Thursday evening at 7:00pm PST. The group is designed for loved ones of survivors of domestic violence and provides a safe space to connect with experts in trauma-informed care, domestic violence advocates, and school counselors. These professionals help families understand the impact of family violence on children and offer guidance on navigating these challenges.

Please note that these sessions are not counseling sessions; they are strictly informational. Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts and are able to request additional resources as needed. This supportive environment aims to empower families with knowledge and access to helpful tools.

Living on Purpose Conference and Community Networking Event

Launched in March 2024, the Living on Purpose Conference connects community service providers with ministry leaders from Multnomah, Washington, and Clark counties. The event helps attendees access essential resources and reconnect with former neighbors affected by gentrification and life changes.

Participants can hear guest speakers discuss health, wellness, and strategies for navigating support systems. The conference offers entertainment, food, fellowship, and activities for an uplifting experience.

Its main goal is to help individuals find practical and spiritual resources that benefit themselves and their families. Service providers include trade schools, recovery centers, mental health services, colleges, and resource centers for women and men.

What We Do

Education

Upon request, we offer comprehensive training sessions designed specifically for the friends and family members of abuse survivors. These educational programs focus on helping participants recognize signs of abuse, respond safely to challenging situations, and understand the resources available in their community and how to access them.
When requested, we also provide training on teen dating violence. These sessions equip families and friends with practical tools, hotlines, and both faith and non faith-centered guidance to help protect the people they care about.

OUR SERVICES

How We Create Impact

Relationship Education: Christian Values and Trauma-Informed Approach

Our relationship education is rooted in Christian principles, offering guidance that emphasizes faith-based values as a foundation for healthy, meaningful connections. We recognize the importance of being trauma-informed, and we dedicate special attention to understanding how past experiences can shape individuals and relationships. By integrating trauma awareness with Christian values, we strive to create a supportive environment where participants learn to build relationships marked by compassion, respect, and resilience.

Community Focused Training Programs

Our training programs are created with you, your family, and your community in mind. We want every participant—whether a friend, relative, or community leader—to feel truly equipped to support those they care about. Through our sessions, you'll discover practical approaches that help you respond with genuine empathy, make wise decisions in tough moments, and offer confident support. We're here to encourage you, so that you feel prepared for whatever comes to strength.

Educational conferences and awareness events

Join us at our events—created for you and your loved ones. These gatherings are spaces to learn, connect, and grow with others who share your journey. You’ll find support, encouragement, and leave feeling empowered to walk this path together.

Resource referrals and trusted partnerships

We connect individuals to reliable resources, organizations, and support networks that extend help beyond our programs.

Trauma-Informed Faith-Based and Practical Guidance for Families

With faith and an understanding of trauma, we walk beside families facing domestic violence. Our goal is to offer hope and help you find a future free from violence.
